Completely awesome anime, spawned a lot of completely awesome games as well, I'm currently re-watching the entire series in my offtime. =p

I had no interest in cars or racing before watching Initial D. Though I loved watching Intial D and after watching the anime I totally had to play the games. Even though I still have no interest in cars I now love street racing games and racing animes.  

I started watching it for the first time, but Netflix is mean and didn't have the fourth and fifth discs, so I had to go buy them. And now there's a long wait on both the second and third discs. :/ They probably only have one copy of each of them. I'm wondering if I can get them to buy the fourth and fifth discs that I bought once I watch them so that way other people who want to watch Initial D via Netflix will not go through the trouble I went through.

 I dont watch naruto anymore -> i watch Shippuden ( second part of naruto )

Another interesting anime being made called Wangan Midnight, though its not a mountain racing anime, it's an anime more about racing the Wangan which apparently is a famously long highway in japan. Since it's street racing, the art style is similar and it still deals heavily with cars, it might be something for you all to look into.

 PS.. there is a Wangan Midnight game too, never played it though.

If you're talking about the AE86 remote control drift car- yeah, I think they sell that at radioshack. It's been a prize for a couple of driving games (Drift City being the most prominent one that you might've seen it from)

I really enjoyed the anime so far, i actually just finished the first 17 ep's. As much as i enjoyed the sense of realism i dont see an AE86 overtaking an RX7 FD FC, or a Nissan Skyline R32 =\. I do play the arcade game though, 4star RL, 5star BL, cheers=)
