    Re: The Boar's Head

"..." Zach's eyes didn't focus on anything else, he wasn't amused at all for what happened. And to keep the situation a secret, he closed the door shut, forgetting to lock it, but just to seal it from the only witness, Sirius... He stood there, staring down at her. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breathe, his expression seemed to relax, and as he looked at her again, he spoke, "You... You saw her, didn't you?" His voice was quiet, calm, much different from his attitude. "The vauge images you saw from bearing that ring." He picked up her hand, slowly taking off the ring, the engravings shimmered in bright-red as he took hold of it, and as it drew further away from Neera's finger, the light faded, allowing her to regain her strength. After, he set it down back on the bed, knowing the damage his love's ring has done to her.

"That trance, was a short description to what happened to Mina and how we met. I assume you now have a right to know what happened, since you are so persistant. Before I do, I have to tell you, if you didn't figure out already... I am the brother of Zach Soto, I disguised myself as him, stealing his clothings before I arrived here, in this tavern." Revealing his true identity, Leon hanging his cloak on the back of the door, and began to explain when he turned around.

"Zach and I, were both high ranked Paladins of Erim, the kingdom where we used to live. And as for Mina, she was our Sorceror. That was two years ago, before Seiro raged a small, but destructive war on the kingdom, trying to rule and bring back what the previous ruler did, which was benefiting himself, costing thousands of people's lives... Fortunately, we were able to hold off his attacks, his armies were well trained, but were not strong enough for our defence. Everything was going through smoothly, until that damned day, when Seiro himself showed up. His army was twice the size of any of his others, and it seemed to turn nightfall as he approached the battlefield. He wasn't human, whatever form he took, was proven false to the power and pain he inflicted slashing away at his opponents, and I when we encountered him. Three hours into the battle, our barricades were breeched, without our army, we would become completely defenseless. Orders came, to pull back everyone, letting our archers deal with what's left ontop or inside the castle once again. Everyone was retreating, stepping and tripping on the dead bodies that lay on the battle field, there was just too much soldiers on such a small region to weige war. Soon after, most of us were off, Zach made it out without tripping, it was just several others, including me and Mina were left behind, trying to finish off the remaining soldiers that didn't pass us. I never thought she was left behind like me, I thought both her and Zach were back into a safer area, so I kept fighting, all until I heard her... Her voice, she was found by Seiro, and just like any other soldier, man or woman, he attacked mercilessly, enjoying how Mina tried to dodge and block every move. Her staff was destroyed, chopped in half, she tried to escape but as Seiro striked again, it left a gash in her leg. That scream brought my attention, I looked back, seeing him striking through her chest, into her heart... I was stunned... I couldn't believe I left her behind, instead of going for the leader, I kept myself safe warding off remaining enemy soldiers... My fault..."

Leon, leaning and hitting his back to the wall, he seemed to havel ost his strength, when he started to sound very depressed. He looked straight down, his flashbacks came back, as if it happened just yesterday, his eyes started to water, but he made no sound.

"Dang, that bartender was something else" The man thought as he walked up the stairs. "If I knew that she was busy with someone else, and that she was a woman, then that wouldn't happen." He felt emberassed, as the bartender Shianne scolded him and warned him to not be rude or gain unwanted attention, or she would have to kick him out. He was lucky enough that she answered where this man was, so his quest is finally coming to an end.

"The first room to your right..." He saw a man, listening through the door, he seemed very interested on what happened to Neera, and Leon, when he first shut the door. He didn't want to interrupt, or start something by entering the room just to settle his curiosity, so he stayed there in secret. Zach glanced at him, they both looked at each other, with puzzling faces, they both knew who Leon was. As Zach knocked on the door, it slowly opened. "Leo? Leon Soto are you-" He stopped, he looked very suprised, to see his brother with tears in his eyes, in the corner. But that wasn't the only suprise, when he saw Neera, he thought something happened to Leon.

"What the hell did you do to Leo!?" He looked at Neera, and back at him. Soon, he found out that Leo is mourning the loss of his wife. Zach never saw Leon burst into tears, or cry at all, until that day Mina was killed in battle. "Get up-" He lifted Leon, "Don't cry dude, I mean, not in front of Laura."  Leon wiped his tears, standing up on his own, he remembered that all his happiness wasn't taken away, because he also had a daughter, whom was only nine years of age. "Don't be like that, you're ruining yourself. Your daughter is coming tomorrow, she insisted on coming so I cleared the trail making sure everything was safe, she'll be here in the morning, she's just as hurt as you, so don't remind her of what happened okay?"

"Neera... I- I'll continue tomorrow." Both Leon and Zach left through the door, closing it behind them. Zach convinced him to go get a drink downstairs, and to find another room, since Leo thought Neera would need it for the night.

((Man that was long, I never really knew I would bring up that many characters but oh well. Heheh))

    Re: The Boar's Head

After being mostly ignored by the horribly human looking bartender (Okan had always fancied Dwarven females, beards and all), he simply reached over the bar and helped himself to some of the draught he had asked for.  He immediately turned to the man sitting at the bar who was staring at him curiously (certainly because reaching over a bar meant climbing on top of and reaching down for a dwarf) and struck up a conversation regarding his latest adventure.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you but in the last month I have felled more giants in the last month than a logger fells trees.  It all started up in the Derewop Mountains near the last bar that I was a regular patron of."

Okan took a quick pause to quaf half of his first flagon, since he was unable to reach the larger drink contairs from the bar. As he set down his mug he unslung his battleaxe which had dozens of notches carved below and above a tightly woven leather grip. He pointed the large dull alchemical silver head to the northeast and had it slightly elevated to ensure that the recipiant of this particular story understood that it was definately in the mountains.

"One of them buggers had been hounding a nearby farm and the farmer had lost several cattle to it.  He came into the bar there, The Pick and Plow I think it was called, and was complaining about it.  After the farmer pleaded with the bartender to find someone to do something about it I offered him my services in exchange for lodging and beer for the winter."

Another pause to finish the drink remaining in his cup and he became completely sidetracked looking for the keg he would be filling up from.  He climbed down behind the bar and as he finished filling his flagon, he did find it slightly odd that the bartender hadn't said anything to him yet.  It also struck him that he hadn't even introduced himself to this man he was talking to.

"By the by, Hallo my name is Okan, who might you be?"

    Re: The Boar's Head

Neera is now exhausted from what had just taken place.  She is shocked to have all this information revealed to her so suddenly.  "Perhaps Za . . uh . I . .m-mean Leon, is right.  Maybe I should get some rest.  I will be right as new in the morning."  With that Neera lays her head upon the pillow, and slides her body under the bed covers.  Tilting herself to one side, she slowly drifts off to sleep.

(How should we create the next day?  Hmm . . . I suppose I will just start it, and everyone can fill their own part to the new day as they please.)

The dawning sun approaches over the horizon, and barely shines into Neera's window.   It awakens her softly from her slumber, as she stretches her body and prepares herself for the day ahead.  Neera remembers the night before, and how all the drama had collected into this room.  Neera can't help but wonder what went on between Leon and Zach after they left the suite.  Neera walks herself slowly to the door, outstretching her hand to grasp the knob and creaks the door open ever so gently.

It is always a hushed tavern in the early morning hours, all the drunkards are gone, and the overnight stays are either asleep are just waking up. Shianne is usually at the kitchen at this time, straightening up a little before the morning crowd arrives.  She usually starts by brewing a fire where the cauldron hangs, in the kitchen.  Soon after Shianne tends to her bar wiping the table top down, and rearranging the newly cleaned mugs, and dishware.  The chairs and centerpieces are repositioned from the rowdiness of last night's "dance party" that Neera had started. Hehe, oops.

Neera wanders down the upstairs corridor, hoping to run into someone else that has awoken at this hour of the morning, to chat with.  The tavern has seven rooms if you include Shianne's bedroom downstairs.  "If memory serves me correctly, Shaden, Zach, Leon, Kari'Ti, and I are all here.  Shaden and Kari must have galloped off the night before.  I do not remember ever seeing them come upstairs."  Neera continues to ponder to herself as the sun rises further into the sky, brightening the entire tavern/inn with sunlight.  Neera carries herself down to the bar floor, where she spots Shianne attending to her normal routine.  "Good morning Shianne, how was your night?"

((Shaden I could really use your dialogue lol, but for just this paragraph I will be Shianne))

"Thanks to you I have to replace a chair, 10 beer mugs, and have to clean the red velvet rug from the bar floor. You caused the tavern to become wild and everyone continued to party as you fleed to the suites!"  Shianne is not the least bit happy about Neera's performance last night. "I am sorry for the trouble I have caused you.  Don't worry though you won't see me for a while, I am heading out early today.  I will head south to Suthern, where I can start rebuilding a life for myself."  Shianne places a large bowl of fresh fruit onto the bar table for guests.  Neera immediately fidgets through the bundles of fruit and plucks herself a bundle of plump purple grapes.  "Mmm . . I love a good fruit bowl for breakfast," Neera compliments the fruit as she tosses a grape into her mouth. Neera relaxes herself on the bar stool, resting her elbow onto the table, she awaits the arrival of guests, and hopefully can talk to Zach and Leon before they leave the tavern.

One day at a time, may be one day too late.

    Re: The Boar's Head

The robe clad wizard slowly reaches up to rub his sore head. "How long have I been laying here?" He notices that noone has bothered to try and wake him and in fact someone pushed or carried him off into a quiet corner and left him on a plush cozy couch. The night before although free of alcohol was not free of a magical trance that engulfed him and in its wake left him both puzzled and intrigued. Whatever it was somehow the object charmed had been able to transport the girl into a hued aura filled realm of gleaming light. Something happened although the details now seemed so vague and far away like a dream. "I saw the ancient world that has been spoken of in the prophecy. But how? I thought it was a mere tale and not a reality," confused Sirius sits and reflects on his trance-like dream trying to piece together what he saw and HOW it could possibly matter.

"But, the only thing is, Zach saw me. Now he will be questioning me about what I know and I don't have time for this. I need to find Dari and get back. Why did I not ignore my nature to eavesdrop when I know better. It always gets me in trouble. I must find a way to get more information and how this occurred."

Belzebub is curled up next to him and -- always attentive -- wakes and begins barking. Sirius conjures a dog biscuit and gives it to him. "Ok, Bebe puppy dog you behave. Papi has to investigate something. He tucks the tiny dog under his arm for warmth and rises up from the couch.

Hungry and thirsty from not eating the night before, Sirius decides he should find the manager and put and end to this hunt for Dariaxus. Find out who this Zach and Neera are and how they are connected to this dream. "And what of the ancient prophecy?"

He looks up at the tavern wall and sees a portrait of a well dressed lady who appears to be either royalty or of high rank. She is wearing a silk embroidered bodice of dark blue and white beads. In the background is a large estate with horses and dogs. Although technology has been largely eradicated from the world he notices that she has a tiny robot companion next to her which would indicate a closeness. This robot would have to be over 4000 years old. It seems impossible to him for such a thing to exist however the painting also looks quit old and therefore could be quite dated or could it ... Is the painting of someone familiar? ...

    Re: The Boar's Head

As the morning sun began to shine through the window, the room lit up, it was a peaceful day today, and a most important one too. Leon, groaning as the light went into his eyes, tried to turn the other way, but the room was too bright to make it easy to sleep in. "Ugh, morning already?" as he got up, he heard a knocking on the door, the person was persistant, knocking again and again, "Dang it Zach, I'm up I'm up." as he he put on his stitched up pants, and worse something over his tank-top, he headed toward the door to see who it was.

"Hey buddy! It's a peaceful day huh?" Zach said cheerfully.

"Shut up." Leo growled back at him.

"Don't be like that, you're always moody, you should be happy today! Because you know she's coming and probably heading to this tavern right now!"

"Oh." As soon as Leo figured out that his daughter was being transported to meet her father, he shuts the door on Zach, ignoring his insults, making fun of every negative aspect Leo contains. He puts on his formal uniform, the same one he wore when he was promoted in the Knight's Academy, from Warrior, to the high-ranking Paladin. The armor was a nice blue tunic, trimmed with special white metal, the same kind on the tunic's shoulders which was a metal shoulder pad. The legs only had a patch of metal on the knee- pads, and on the waste, as it was used as a belt, more than for protection. The cloak was also blue, it was thick, and had a white crescent moon symbol, representing the region's most common religion. The shoes and gauntlets were made of cloth, plated with steel, so they were heavy, but decorative enough for ceromonies, rather than used for going to war.  "I hope she won't be embarrassed, she always cared on how I dress as a warrior... Just like her mother." he remembered when he used to wear bulky spiked plate mail armor and helmets, which looked very fearsome when suddenly stumbling upon him during the night when battles were upon them. She disliked the armor, and always mistakes her husband for someone else, until he took of his headgear, or spoke when his voice could be heard clearly through the tough, steel face guard.  "Well, it's time to go find her, she's probably at the gates, or somewhere in town-square."

"Open up already!!!" Zach finally shouted after many minutes of ranting on Leo.  Leon did open the door, pretending he didn't hear a word from Zach, because he simply didn't care, because those words were nothing to him, since they did no harm or remembrance of what did bring pain upon him.

"So where do you think Laura might be?" Leo asked.

"She's your daughter, plus, I'm not babysitting her."

"You should be, you should of stayed with her the whole way, instead of clearing the path just to see me first." Leon sounded a bit frustrated, since he always thought whatever decision Zach made, would cause something to regret after a period of time. "Search the center of the town" he said, as they headed down the hallway, "and if you do see her, head to the gates. That's where I'm going to go."

"Sure, but don't you think you have one more thing to do before you leave this place?"  Zach said, wondering if the three of them, Leon, Zach, and Neera, would remember or recall what happened yesterday.

    "Don't think so..."

    "You sure?"

"As far as I remember. And don't tell her why I left our kingdom, or else she'd kill me."

"I got it, don't worry, she might be a pain in the ass man, but she shouldn't be that bad. She's only nine, she's practically care-free until she learns she could have everything she wanted, or until she's finally reached puberty."

"Shut up, don't remind me." Leo didn't want to remember alot about when he was thirteen, he never liked the word itself, since his troubles started at that time, which slowly got worse until it all ended, two years ago... The two reached the end of the hallway, they strolled the whole time discussing what they should do for the arrival of Leo's only daughter, Laura. After, they started down the stairs, completely forgetting how bad things got yesterday, even though it's good to forget the past, sometimes.

((Hmm... I'll try to find a way to keep at least 2 characters max in my posts, so the next one might be really long, who knows.))

    Re: The Boar's Head

Neera spotted Leon and Zach heading out of the tavern without sending a single glance her way.  She darted for the door, as they attempted to close it behind them," Leon, are your really going to walk away from me like that without even saying goodbye?"  Neera is for once showing real emotion in her voice," I guess it doesn't matter anymore, but you will not leave without me.  I will go with you . . . I would much appreciate it if you allowed me to accompany you on your journey."  Neera was determined to join their party.  She is not one to pass up opportunities when they arrise.

"I can convince you to let me go with you, for I am a great companion to have when trouble appears."  Neera is thinking up any lie, trick, or scheme, to go with Leon, but no matter how she pleads it is still a bunch of babble.  "Well . . I am going with you anyway whether you like it or not, simply because you need me.  You boys can't possibly handle the ways of these winding paths.  Plus I am lonely and I don't want to travel by myself."  Neera just like that, has barged into their group and insisted she travel with Leon and Zach, in the hopes that maybe she will find out more about them.  Whispering to herself - "I wonder what they are looking for, and I hope I can help them find whatever it may be.  Oh why is my stomach turning like this?  Am I blushing . . does, Leon know . . no probably not, he has his mind set on something else, my emotions are probably invisible to him right now.  Oh  . .  how dare he ignore me like that, oh how insensitive.  Wow there Neera don't become the jealous looney girls from Pleasant Pinup Plaza."  The tavern is nearly out of view, and they have a long walk to the nearest town Suthern, which is usually a two day walk from this village.  It is a sunny, bright, and lively harbor, and they might find some fun in the sun there;  Neera sure will . . .

(I know short post, but my mind is not with me tonight.  Sort of like an obstacle in the way of my creative path.)

    Re: The Boar's Head

((lol ... ok the pressure is on to give a good post ... hope I pull thru))

In the middle of poking the drunk dwarf who appears to have fallen asleep with his mouth under the beer tap, Sirius swings around only to see the group at the door about to leave the tavern. Luckily he is far enough away from the door and in subdued lighting so that it isn't obvious what he is doing.

The dwarf yells out something however and only to alert the entire room that he has risen and good morning to everyone.

Sirius walks over to the young gypsy girl tugging on the sleeve of the young man. "Young lady, do I know you?"

There is a moment of silence as the group glares at Sirius as if this is none of his business and to back down. Sirius is not one to back down and holds his ground awaiting a hopeful explanation as to the occurences of the night before.

"I hear you are heading to Suthern? Is this true? I have a horse if that would be of any use to you. You could borrow him and he would find his way back when you arrive at your destination. I am trying to find my friend Dariaxus who was to meet me at Glidia Ref yesterday midday and did not appear. I was hoping he had left a message for me. Does anyone of you know who is in charge?"

Sirius pondered the group and could sense the magical ring on the young boy.  Bowing down, he said, "I am Sirius it is very nice to meet you. I normally don't come to this region although I had an important rende vue. I hope everything is alright and that I did not interrupt anything last night. I am sometimes more curious than cautious. But of the prophecy I will not speak. I was just admiring this picture."

((I will try to make up for this I am really tired right now its 4am))

    Re: The Boar's Head

As the party continues, Zach departs, heading North into the center of the city, hopefully looking for Laura. And for the others, Leon, Neera, and Sirius are heading south, to the gates. When they finally reached the gates, Leo stopped, and stood there waiting, with his long steel sword dug into the ground, with his palms holding the hilt. After what seemed an hour, Zach headed back to the gates, and saw Leon, "Hey Leo, no sign of her yet!"

"Shut up." Leon glared at him, and looked back outside of the gates, staring off into the distance.

"What, was I not suppossed to say that? She's coming, don't worry."

"That's it." Leon thought what Zach said could be false, he worried that Laura could have encountered something, something life threatening. He tried to keep it out of his mind, listening to Sirius talk about the Suthern, which was a place Leo himself, has never heard of... When it finally reached mid-day, two horses was galloping into town, right toward the gates. The first horse, in front was a knight, his clothing matched Leon and Zach's (Zach had also dressed up the same as Leo) uniform, and slowed down, coming to a complete stop right in front of Leon. The second horse, was a young girl, she had long blonde hair that seemed to reach down to her legs, she seemed skilled at riding horses, when she also stopped next to the knight, and getting off without having trouble with the horse, because of her size.  The knight came walking towards Leo, getting on one knee, which was a way of bowing.  The small girl came toward Leo, running and jumped right into his arms, immediately, his frown came to a great smile, as the two laughed in each other's arms.

"Daddy! I knew you'd be here! Uncle Zach told me everything!" Laura said

"Heheh, Laura I missed you so. How is everything going back at home?"

"Everything is fine, in fact, the old man is letting his son rule the palace!"

"Old man huh...?" Leon wondered, why, why his king would resign so soon? Then he thought, "Four years ruling and now stepping down? What's gotten into him, he should at least rule until--- no, it's his choice. I just wish the new king would be just as wise as him." And that's when Leon noticed something was missing... He looked back at Neera and Sirius, the two looked confused, as they never saw him smile like this before, and that the man was still bowing, waiting for an order.  "Thanks for safely escorting Laura to me, you may return home, I'm sure they'll reward you well. And you have my gratitude, but please get up, I might be a higher rank, but it doesn't mean I'm your King."

"Yes sir, and your welcome. I shall be heading back then. Farewell Sir Leon Soto, we shall meet once again in our King's Castle, back in Erim." The knight got back up, waved the party good-bye, and departed, heading back down the road, dissappearing int oa distance.

"Oh I forgot, this is my daughter, Laura. She was the one I was waiting for since I came to this tavern." Leon said cheerfully, smiling back at everyone as Laura waved and saying hello to them all.

"Amazing, how old are you again Leon? I forgot, since the last time you spoke of your age, was the first time we met." Zach said, waiting for a reply, to get one of his questions finally answered from Leo. Unfortunately, Leo was too busy in a conversation with his daughter, to even hear what Zach said. "Well okay then, I guess I should head back too, before Krystal gets mad at me again, for not coming back to the kingdom for so long."

"Really? Now Zach?" Leo replied. "Well, you should go, since the last time you got on her nerves, she kicked you out for months, and I don't want you moving into my house."

"Yeah, it was hell back then, and I don't want it to happen again. So, I better get going, take care of your daughter and get back to Erim in one piece, got it?"

"Got it, I'll see you again Zach." Leon and Laura waved at Zach, as he took Laura's horse, down the same path the knight previously rode through.

"That idiot, forgot all his stuff back in the suite..." Leo chuckled, and was still happy, now, that he is once reunited with his daughter. But he thought to himself, "I can't shake the feeling that something here is wrong, Zach is leaving well, Erim is safe, Laura is here, but I feel that something is wrong..." He glanced at both Neera and Sirius, finally announcing "I guess I have some free time... What were you talking about--- Suthern?"

    Re: The Boar's Head

"I have spent many moons there, as a young girl.  The air is clean, the seabreeze has such benevolence.  Not to mention they are reknowned for their exquisite taste in food."  Neera is extatic to be heading to Suthern with her new friends. " But we must be careful, the road that leads to the grand harbor is treachorous.  Many thieves and bandits reside along the way, and will not hesitate to attempt an ambush on unsuspecting travelers, like ourselves.  We must be ready for battle, although from what I see we have nothing to worry about."  Noticing the large axe gleaming on Sirius' back, and the strong stature Leon seems to have.

"Although you may not see much of me once we arrive.  I have some business to attend to and some people to meet.  Although I suggest you first head to Taurwar's Theatre Cafe'.  That restaurant is one of a kind, you get to eat a scrumptuous meal while watching a live performance in front of you.  It is a real treat to eat there.  Another attraction I would recommend is the Suthern Cliffside Balcony.  It is a beautiful stone balcony that was sculpted into the top of the highest cliff in Suthern.  It overlooks the Baylayn Ocean, and the many islands that scatter amongst the waters.  Oh it is such a romantic place to be, to take your love for a night to remember hehe."

"Well enough chit-chat lets make our way to the harbor!"  Neera is quite eager to get going, and has hastened her pace to a jog hoping they will all follow her in the same manner.  They head into the horizon all laughing and ready for what these skies throw their way . . .

One day at a time, may be one day too late.

    Re: The Boar's Head

Before they leave town, Sirius buys a large amount of fruit, cheese and meat to take with them. He is pleased that the group has agreed to help him find his friend. Walking to the postoffice quickly, there is a message that has just arrived saying that Dari was delayed due to an onforeseen Red War in the north. He would be delayed for some time. Sirius scribbles a letter to his friend and pays the extra fee to expedite its delivery.

Trudging along the Old Suthern Road which is scarier than most with lots of spiderwebs and rank smelling corpses, Sirius finds himself dwelling on the trance and preciously what it was. A city of gold? Glowing bronze and thank you a living world beyond our own. Heaven per se. But accessible to a select few to visit and return? The ring provided access to this world.

I look forward to Suthern. After all the northern towns are so dark and foreboding. The Suthern towns have beaches and deserts and lots of trees which he enjoys. "I cannot wait. The winter has been so long and cold. I look forward to this change of scenery."

Out of a bush jumps a giant blue Goliath and begins swinging fervently at the group. Neera jumps off the road into a ditch and readies her weapon. Zach and Leon both in full armor military uniforms jump the beast from either side and confused as to who to attack catch the monster off guard. Sirius meanwhile swings his axe across its head sending blood and guts spewing everywhere. Beelzebub bites the monster's ankle and not letting go is flung about ten yards when the monster falls flat to the ground.

Sirius chuckles to himself on how lucky he is to be with a group and not alone against these spontaneous attacks. Picking up Beelzebub he casts a healing spell on him and pats his head.

At dusk, the group decides it is time to set up camp and must spend the night in creepyland as Suthern is still another day's journey away. Starting a fire on a pile of rocks to ward of the cold altitude. Zach and Leon go out looking for some dinner. Neera begins some wild ritual. Sirius, used to living in the wild for months unpacks his tent and bags from the horse which is holding everyone's things. He has brought along the fruit, meat, and cheese but maybe they will bring back something really fresh for for a nice potato stew.

    Re: The Boar's Head

Having seen the Barmaid working her way around the room and not yet to the bar, Okan grabs the nearest cup, only after a quick check to ensure he still has his axe does he quickly and silently (well as silently as a dwarf can) fills that cup and hops back onto the customer side of the bar.

He glances around for the young man that he began rambling at the previous night and doesn't see him.  In fact he doesn't see anyone he recognized except the Barmaid, "what was her name 'She-somethin'" he muses to himself.  It has been several weeks since his last fight, and he is starting to get antsy.

"Hey She, you have a cellar i can rummage through to find somethin for the road?"

Her eyes tell him exactly the answer he is about to recieve, but he puts on a big smile and hopes for some luck before going to find a fight.

((I haven't joined an RP for a while. I have a bad habit of making my posts funny (In a reasonable, believable way of course). I even created an RP called "Witless Banter" one time. It was loads of fun. If you don't mind mind a little comedy from time to time, then I might join up!))

    Re: The Boar's Head

As he walked through the rain, Matt could hear the sound of laughter and singing. He looked in the direction of the noise and saw the old tavern. Out of curiosity, he walked to the door and peered in. He looked from side to side, giving the tavern a once-over. Afterward he walked away, he hated noisy places. He preferred the sound of the rain clattering on the ground and the thunder crackling in the clouds. He couldn't stand crowded places either, which only made him want to walk away even more.He strolled through the town, his cloak was drenched but he didn't mind. I could use some human contact after all that walking, but that tavern is a bit much for me. He looked to see if he could find a more quiet place to rest his head. After walking for a short while he found a small inn. He asked to see if they had any room. "You guys gotta room to spare?" The little old lady who stood behind the desk told him how much it would cost, Matt responded by quickly turning around and walking out. He barely had enough for food let alone a room that expensive. He turned back to the tavern. Well, if they're cheap the noise might be worth it. He thought to himself as he made his way back over there. He gently pushed open the door and slowly walked inside. While he was pretty tired from walking, his mind was still too active for him to really sleep, so he found a table and sat down to gather his thoughts.

    Re: The Boar's Head

Neera didn't carry your run of the mill weapons.  Being a gypsie she has the ability to pawn things from people.  A while back she found throwing weapons, shurikens, darts, poison tipped needles, from a trade cart making rounds between two cities.  Neera swiped them and since then has mastered the art of throwing weapon skills.  Neera hid the weapons within her attire to disguise them from prying eyes.

She tilted her body as she launched herself back from the beast to gain a good fighting distance.  Neera then drew several poison tipped darts from underneath her tourquoise sash around her waist.  Clasping them within her right hand, she hid her darts until the opportuned moment to strike.  Soon Sirius was fending the monster off from the others, as Leon's first instinct was to protect his daughter Laura, from the goliath.  Neera noticed a spot to launch her darts at, if she attacks his weapon wielding arm, he will become defenseless since goliaths rely on their expertise in cumbersome weaponry.  Neera's dancing has attained her the power of precision, and her accuracy level is very unusual.  "Hee-yah,"  Came from Neera's mouth as she throws the first dart into the beast's left shoulder, causing it to flinch, giving Sirius a chance to deal a decisive blow to the goliath's head.

((btw Zach left the group a few posts ago lol, so until Zyrex brings him back in, I wouldn't use him lol))

Laura catches Beelzebub, as it is tossed into the air.  She grows a fondness to the teeny dog, that seems to submit itself to her.

With the goliath face down on the dirt path motionless, Neera eases herself and puts her weapons back into the sash.  Although they are sometimes considered "wild" Neera performs many dances to set emotions or a mood within the area, as to calm travelers that have been in traumatizing situations.  However, this particular dance conjures heat in the immediate vicinity of Neera, and ignites a nearby bed of logs to give warmth to the camp.

"Those were some impressive skills you pulled off back there Sirius, I wonder, where you had learned your skills?  I personally taught myself how to fight." Neera settles herself down, as Leon heads out to find food for the night, and maybe some material for shelter.  Neera swore to Leon that she would protect Laura when he was not around.  "Beelzebub is a cutie, hehe.  He seems to have attached to you Laura."  Trying to make light conversation under the starry night.  "What should we do with the goliath's body?  We can't just leave him in the middle of the road."

One day at a time, may be one day too late.

    Re: The Boar's Head

((There should be a subtopic for The Boar's Head, so you can discuss about RP, without disrupting the story. And didn't Sirius already buy food?))

In the camp Sirius and Neera has set-up,the moon shines through the trees, lighting the grounds where the fire could not reach, Sirius sits, cleaning his battle axe from the violent battle the party had mid-day. As for the corpse which used to be the goliath's body, has stopped bleeding as the blood soaked into the ground, untouched since the finishing blow that stopped it dead in it's path. Leon, suggested they set-up a camp away from the dead beast, or at least out of eyesight, until they can properly dispose of it. As for Neera, she spends her time playing with Laura and Beelzebub, the three were having a great time around the fire, and out of nowhere, Laura, petting Beelzebub, spat a question out of curiosity, "Are you Daddy's Girlfriend?" And unusual as it was, Leon did say that Laura can become very curious, asking odd and sometimes obvious questions, to either embarrass or to get rid of the thought that wouldn't stop in her head.

Further away, Leon searches the forest, looking for something unique or magical to entertain himself, but he didn't stumble upon much,  just a rusted key, a blood-stained vest, and a torn page from a a book. Leo sighed, "Oh well, nothing entertaining actually happened, since Sirius finished off that Goliath before I had a chance... Damn it, I just wish there was a---" he paused, the moon was high and the light was reflected off a shining piece of silver, as Leo picked it up, he examined the amulet. "This, this shouldn't be here..." he thought, it was a necklace, silver was crafted into a religious symbol, which was against the one Leo is currently acquainted in. "There are Sorcerers who still follow Shiyah." He got back up, taking the necklace in his pocket, and rushed the fire logs back to the camp. As he neared the camp, everything was the same, everyone was still there, Leon sighed in relief, but still worries the small sign he found deeper in the forest.
