Requiem not quite such a nightmare.
I currently in the closed beta and while a lot of the content is missing, its shaping up to be a game that breaks the mold of the current korean ports. You start out with your 1st job option at lvl 10.Depending on what class you choose you can advance in the game to lvl 50 and take another change in jobs to further your character in whatever direction you choose.
Its a f2p game and is at this time is slated to go into open beta march 26th.I dont want to go into great detail about the game because im not sure of the NDA,but I will say its well worth the time to check it out.As per usual while its free to play, gravity will be offering an item shop which will only sell things to make your leveling exp faster.Nothing gamebreaking as far as i know, just little perks like exp potions etc.
This doesnt have any martial arts, animie or anything else you would come to expect from a eastern MMO port.To be totaly honest you would think the game was designed in the west. With heads being chopped off, blood everyhwere and a unique nightmare system,DNA to make your character"diffrent" for other players of the same class, this game has a lot to offer. While we are still in the dark about an open pvp system,it has atm an instanced pvp zone where you can que up and then go about your bussiness and as soon as enough players que up,it ports you to a capture the flag type pvp fragfest. There are warriors, paladins(defenders),mages, pet class'es(though you cant unlock the pet class till lvl 50=( everything you would expect from a western MMO.
Though dont belive the hype about it being a "horror" MMO because its not.Theres a lot of blood,a lot of gore, unique mobs, but very little if any things that will actually scare you late at night while playing in the dark.Thats about all i can say till OB starts march 26th,but imo its well worth checking out till warriors epic beta starts.
Sometimes. Late at night. I beta myself.

Re: Requiem not quite such a nightmare.
I've tested it for about one week and I'm dissapointed. I thought Gravity created something new and fresh but it's just next hard-core grinder without interesting features. VoodooSnake:AMAZING graphics
I've played it on full details and in my opinion, graphics are average :/

Re: Requiem not quite such a nightmare.
As one of the first in the beta I must reccomend against trying it. It has nothing new and unique to bring to the table as far as the genre goes, even the "change during a certain time period" is nothing new. The servers lack stability in a major way, with massive lag, odds are it's only going to get worse in the future, possibly in the very distant future it might see some improvements (if it survives). The combat system may be a bit different than your used to, But a combat system involving reflexes on servers that are unstable and laggy is the last thing you want. The combat system is overhyped, and too early for mass multiplayer. This type of combat at current would require a local connection, or a step into the future of household internet connections. The lighting is hard on the eyes of many people who have tried it. I just don't reccomend it. I'd normally never bash graphics, but when they wreak havoc on the eyes I just have no choice. Besides, if your into graphics, after playing the Age of Conan beta I must say WOW, as in the graphics make Requiem look like a text based game and again, im not one to rate graphics.
P.S As for your comment about the NDA, as long as the information is something you can find on their website (non beta section) or stick to general knowledge of the game it shouldnt be a problem. DNA system details is prety much all closed beta material, so you did perfect in keeping it that way. You could've easily went into more detail about the nightmare system though, as its all over their website.
