    Need to know..

     Well I've done a lot of quiet reading here, browsed and searched.. didn't find much on this topic unless I'm overlooking something (please pardon if I have and point me to the right post).. What is the current stance on PvP in W.E.. and such topics as 'ganking' or 'pk'ing' .. I'm guessing that as with most MMORPGs there will be PvP to an extent but what is the current (if any) look at player kills/pk/gank.. whichever term you know it as. Truthfully I'm a peacful unless attacked first kind of person or when there is a 'war' of sorts.. but to be honest I am thinking of leaving the Talisman Online community currently because of their lack of attention to this issue :/ 

    I'd really hate to see that happen here because this does have so much more to offer then TO does .. and TO is still beta itself but their PK system is unbalanced and unfair.. quite frustrating because at the moment in TO a lvl 60 player can come along side a group of lvl 20's trying to complete quests or what not, and kill them all with almost no penalties.. lvl 60 is currently the highest lvl obtainable in TO and compared to even 4 lvl 20's if it's an AOE class.. just totally ruins the day for some and it's become a huge issue there and many have left or are going to because of it.. which made me angry because some of those people were my friends :/ and the GMs lack the communication or comprehension or just plain don't care.. I'm still unsure on this..

    So.. to the point.. before I get way to attached and even get accepted for CB (if that was to happen).. would like to know where W.E will stand on this topic.. I'm all for fair PvP.. even in a PvP zone if I get attacked.. as long as the person is in my 'lvl range' and I have at least a ghost of a chance to defend myself. I will be upfront and say that if it's the kind of system that Talisman has degraded itself to then I guess I will not have the chance to enjoy the wonderful environment that W.E so far seems to promise.  This has been a sobering topic for me over the past week with TO and hate to sound negative I would rather know before hand then to late.. If someone has an answer I would appreciate it please :)

    Theres hasen't been any info released about PvP.

    I do agree with you, unbalanced PvP systems are annoying as hell. I'm sure that the WE Team does care about us, when there will be a unbalanced PvP system they will definitely do something about it.

    Well, don't quote me on this, but since this game is instance-based (from my understanding) I would be inclined to think that PvP will be restricted to PvP rooms or perhaps PvP-enabled instances. But in normal gameplay, I think you're only able to perform PvE interactions unless a particular mission calls for PvP.

    In the end, I believe there is an interview/article in which Brice addresses PvP but I haven't been able to look into it yet. (I'm not much of a PvPer myself, since I prefer "PvP" in FPS and fighting games rather than in MMORPGs.)

    I guess I'm a little biased with having played nothing but Anarchy Online for 2 1/2 years lol.. there you can be 'ganked' but there's a lvl restriction, and when you enter a zone that allows that, you are warned visually so you don't go into it blindly.. I usually try to avoid those areas tbh.. if you attack a guard or some certain NPCs you can become flagged (meaning you are able to be attacked by others even if you are in a zone that is not a political zone) but they just introduced a whole new dueling system, individual/team.. have 'battle stations' to fight each other in, tower wars.. so there's plenty of pvp options there, and most are aware that if you are in a 100% zone, you can't be attacked AT ALL (except by your own self if you so choose lol), 75% means you can be attacked if flagged or by monsters.. 25% is considered a 'political zone' and anyone not in your guild/organization can attack you... and 0% suppression means you should be extremely careful if you don't want to be attacked in a free-for all.. lol. But AO is an older game compared to TO.. way more sophisticated now but TO is still beta so we're just frustrated with the GMs but hoping they're working with it and the developers.. I don't like the idea of being a lvl 10 and having a lvl 60 come up and one-hit kill me in a PK area.. It's not balanced, and often frustrating enough to some newer gamers that they will straight give up from an experience like that :/ and it ruins a good community. I really do like the way W.E's community is so far, it's design, potential.. it looks like something I'd fully enjoy to the extent as it progresses.. I don't give up easy.. but I guess we all have our breaking points.. I may not get my CB and if that's the case will wait for OB but either way I'll still give W.E a good chance cause I do believe it has a great future.

     Totally agree with you about the unbalance PvP. I've stated before I'm not too big on PvP, but I don't mind the duel system some games have. I think what firespyre said is right too, I think I read the post about the PvP. Some days we all feel like just going out on Pk'ing everyone, and accept the penalties, but when you do it to someone who is questing, it's not fair and annoying...
