Simple just say what should an Anime Character be like.

1-Invencible (The most important thing xD).

2-A incredible awsome hair the defys the laws of gravity. 

3-Having a rival during the hole story but in the end becoming friends xD.

4-Success with girls isn't required because theres always one that he falls in love with.

That's it for me xD

5. Has to have a non natural hair color (lol)

6. Needs bigs eyes when sad or angry

7. You can't have an anime without weapons and/or "eye candy" (Sad, but true!)

8- Needs to be epic ;] 

I think gravity defying hair should be the #1 requirement : P  a really big sword that no normal human could carry is a plus as well. 

 I though of that aswell.

But still, the thing of being invencible is quite the principal, almost no Anime main character dies. ;]

They also need to have a creature partner that looks cute, but is a species that doesn't exist.

How about being appealing to the audience?  That's why I couldn't watch Eureka 7 or Eva; their main characters needed a steel beam in their skulls.

 Character has to have some sort of development. skills,morals,understanding,etc. most important part =O

Lol normally MAC(Main Anime characters and yes I made that up xD)  have an average size so they look more "atractive" to the public.

Sometimes they're a mix of a small body with big head. They also have random moments of a really BIG mouth.

Every anime hero needs his LAZOR!

IMMA FIRIN MUH LAZOR!

Anime: Bleach

Character: Ichigo

LAZOR: Getsuga Tenshou

Anime: Naruto

Character: Naruto

LAZOR: Rasengan

And of course let us not forget DBZ, a classic anime with pretty much nothing but LAZOR fights.

In a shounen anime, it is doomed to wind up being a battle between a hero and a series of villains, but really it's just a fight to see who has the bigger LAZOR.

What's a "LAZOR" ? O.o 

i think a cool caracter should have these caracteristics

1. cool looking with tons of gagets, and super powers

2 be a fighter, and have a tragic story line of why he fights

3 live in a world wear fighting is needed

4 attract the ladies

5 have an enemys but defeats them as the story line moves along

and that's my ideal carater for a show.

I think the main character has to always be a blockhead. C'mon, isn't it entertaining watching Naruto do stupid things and get beat up by Sakura?
