Photography that I shot on Sunday

I took these yesterday and thought I would share them with you guys.  Dragonflies have an amazing wing structure. It woud be incredible if we could actually create a flying aircraft based on the structure of the Dragonfly.

I took these with a Nikon D80 DSLR and the Nikkor AF-S Micro 105mm VR Lens.

    Your links are broken.

Anywho, those are some amazing shots and I couldn't agree more with you. The wings on those are beasts, they look fantastic when photographed! They are so surreal and complex when you really get a close-up shot like these.

Read a little up, and you'll see this, "I took these with a Nikon D80 DSLR and the Nikkor AF-S Micro 105mm VR Lens."

Re: Photography that I shot on Sunday

Nicely done.  The middle shot is best, I think.  The bottom has the depth of field shallow enough to not detract from the subject plus the vividness of the colors really makes it stand out.  The top could have been a bit better if you stepped down on the aperture to increase the depth and get the whole insect in focus.  The middle one really stands out with the contrast of colors and the action going on.  That is one I'd consider going 11x14 on, matting and framing.

How bad was the wind?  I always tend to have problems shooting closeup like this because the weather doesn't like to cooperate with me.

I'd love a DSLR but I can't justify the cost right now.  Someday, maybe.

I love that first picture of the dragonfly! It's so clean, clear, and crisp! You must have a really good camera.
