Vivaldi's Godly piece: Four Seasons (Summer Excerpt)

Absolutely amazing, in my opinion one of Vivaldi's greatest masterpieces:

Good stuff to be sure. Vivaldi doesn't have a massive amount of range as a composer but the stuff he sticks with is full of great melodies and sequences. My favorite is also from the Four Seasons; but instead of Summer I prefer Winter, 1st movement.

Ah! The Winter excerpt is awesome too! Good to see Vivaldi fans out there (of course there are plenty, hopefully).

If I want to listen to violin, I stick with Paganini, he's the man.

Paganini is mhmmm... but maybe he got his infleunces from Vivaldi? I hear some similar riffs, and so on; but never the less, I listen to both :) And more!

When it comes to virtuoso violin it's tough to beat Paganini. But I find his music much easier to enjoy when you get to see the actual performance. It's amazing to see that what you're hearing is being made by only one violin. (Thanks for the video btw Smile

I also loooooove Tchaikovsky's violin concerto, well, the first movement anyways. Wink
