Re: runescape high detail
Better graphics and now FULL SCREEN (which is good), BUT - Still "NOT FUN" Turn-based attacking (Same combat as ever, why change graphics when gameplay is the same)
- No Fun PVP Minigames
- Horrible, immature, very poseyand very much regretful (To even come in contact with) community
- And your character still have dots/slashes for eyes (Regular mode, no Chat Interface)
I like their update, but I wish they focused on gameplay more than graphics... Also PVP Alot of reasons why Runescape is a bad game, but they kinda fixed one of the main ones... But this is probably the best they can do, I mean it runs on Java for their sake, did anyone see a better browser-based Java Game? P.S.:When you compare Runescape, compare it with other Browser-Based multiplayer games, not WoW, GW, or any other MMORPG you download, since you don't download Runescape to play it. (Runescape always and will forever beat any game made by Atrix, MaidMarian, and Maddrio Entertainment)

Re: runescape high detail
I only log in for special events such as Halloween, Christmas and Easter but the new High Detail mode counted to me as a special event. They gave the tutorial an overhaul which gave me the chance to test out a new character. The new tutorial is just as indepth as the old one but not as lacklustre and certainly more rewarding. Select NPCs in and around lumbridge (the beginning town) now give out repeatable quests which gave runescape a huge boost for me. The quests are tailored to your characters level/skill levels and the rewards are really good when you're in a tight spot for money and don't feel like making money your usual way. The graphics are a lot better than before and of course probably some of the best graphics out there for a java based game. One of runescapes main key sucesses is that anyone can play it even if you have a 10 year old computer, as long as you have the internet all is well, and luckily that still stands even with the update. So for people with terribly outdated computers, runescape just got that little bit better for them. The new bank sorting system was also extremely helpful for me as half of my bank inventory is full of event clothing and equipment as well as limited edition items, the other half full of useful tools and armours/runes. So being able to seperate them, take them out when needed, all without worrying about ruining my banks order was nice. I would have liked to play Runescape in fullscreen mode but didn't want to spend 12$ to get 1 months membership (for some reason online games still think the aussie dollar is worth 60USc instead of 90USc). Knowing the fullscreen for free players will come eventually was nice, but they are still configuring the advertisment set-up. All in all I do reccomend people give this game a second try, it has certainly become a little bit more enjoyable since the update, however; I can't really see anyone who has turned to high-graphical online gaming getting back into Runescape with any serious commitment.

Since i'm a Star Wars nerd, i'm going to make a star wars reference... Runescape...You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.
