    Big Trouble in Little China

    JackBurton:
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, looks you crooked in the eye and asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

One of my favorite movies...if you haven't seen it, you MUST go rent it.

Where the heck did my reply go? Anyways, one of best movies ever! It's got that evil asian guy with the goatee who shows up in all the 1980s martial arts movies, floating eyeball monsters, beautifully cheesy John Carpenter music, and the best trio of evil henchmen in any movie. Tons and tons of good stuff. Here's my favorite bit of dialogue while the heroes are walking through the sewers beneath Chinatown...

Jack Burton: What is that stuff?
Egg Shen: It is black blood of earth.
    Jack Burton: You mean oil?
Egg Shen: No, I mean black blood of the earth.

I remember a while ago I was at the mall with a friend of mine. This movie was one of his all time favorites and it was on DVD there. He didn't want to buy it since he owned the VHS but in a weird voice I kept saying "But it's D..V..D" and after everything he said I said that and after a minute he bought it. The awesome power of DVD.

My god!! This film is a classic!! Been trying to get my daughter to watch it, and she was like,"But it's old", so after bribing her with promises of sweets and treats, she watched it, and has watched it about 10 times since!!...

Its a comdey because its serious.  The entire movie's dialogue consists of one liners.  It is just fun to watch...go rent it :)
