If I've ever learned anything from being a gamer for the better part of my life, its moderation. So I think I'll just wait and see if there'll be a Xbox 360 bundle available at the local Gamestop or see what the reviews say. Not that that I wouldn't believe Fallout 3 to be a good-- great even-- game just that the legacy of the series is really putting a lot of expectations on the third in line. Even more so after such a lengthy period of time. Therefore I tend to take everything the devs say with a larger than usual pinch of salt. And because of that I'm constantly under the nagging feeling that they're trying to spin the most rudimentary features off as the greatest innovation since WASD-movement. Lets have the karma-system in the videos: somehow I get the impression that you're given the option of redeeming your sins-- be it merely being an obnoxious a**hat or massacring a whole town with a tactical nuclear device-- by what? Handing water to beggars or giving money to charity? I think it makes perfect sense too. Anyways no doubt Fallout 3 will be a good game, but it has so much to live up to which significantly curbs my enthusiasm. A sensible strategy considering what a letdown Oblivion was.
