I think you can't die from holding your breath, you would just pass out..

Supposedly Guinness World Records gets about 5 calls a month with people telling them that they can lick their elbows because they were told it was impossible but can do it.  I have a really long tongue and I can do it, though I have a friend who can lick their elbow even with a short tongue.

Hoopla I think it is possible to die by holding your breath. Of course I'm not sure, but thats my oppinion.

One of my friends have a long tongue and he can do it.

I agree, theres a certain point where your brain is starved too much of oxygen and so it conks out. However, the moment you conk out, you no longer have control over your body, thus you can't hold your breath no more, And so your wonderfully automatic breathing system kicks into gear again, just in time
