    Re: Iron man

Yeah, I'm going to go see it on friday. It'd be great to see all this lead up to an Avengers movie.

    Re: Iron man

Robert Downey Jr. has a cameo in the upcoming Incredible Hulk movie. Also Marvel has gotten the licenses for Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, and a few other characters. Which means that they have a hand in all the movies based off of those characters, and they do plan to have a crossover movie including all of these characters.

    Re: Iron man

I'm a little confused.  How can Marvel "get the liscences" to characters they already own?  I'd find your statement more believable if you were speaking about a movie studio purchasing the liscence to use the characters FROM Marvel.

    Re: Iron man

I watched it last night, and I have to say it was better than I had expected. The movies nice and long, I went and saw it at the 11pm showing and didn't get out until 1pm-ish. Make sure if you go watch it to wait until after the credits are completely over, they give a hinting towards another movie.

Yes, there will be 3 Iron Man movies, and most all of the cast is currently signed on for Iron Man 2.

Heh, I didn't even realize how I had written that. What I meant was that rather than Marvel selling the licences, they are keeping the licenses and producing the movies themselves. At least something like that anyway. It means that they can have cameos and crossovers with these characters without several different movies studios arguing about how it should work out.

    Re: Iron man

I think by "Marvel has the licenses" he means that Marvel Studios, and not some other hollywood studio, will be producing these properties and in the case of Iron Man, already has.

I read some blurb on Aintitcool news that there is indeed an iron man sequel coming and that people are also prepping for an Avengers movie not much later than that.
